Tips: How to design a solar water pumping system?
Many people think that designing a solar water pumping system is a very difficult thing, but actually it is not the case. In fact, as long as you have a little bit of physics related knowledge, you can design a solar water pump system. Below, there are some suggestions for design.
First, the solar water pumping system include: solar water pump, solar pump inverter and solar panels.
Solar panels convert light and heat into electricity. The solar pump inverter drives the solar water pump keep pumping. And the inverter can also continuously adjust the output voltage, and convert the unstable voltage into a stable voltage through a comprehensive protection device.
Then how to design a suitable solar pumping system?
- Refer to the flow and head requirements
The flow refers to the amount of water you need per hour or day. The head is the height of the water pumped away from the well. So select the right pump for your flow and head needs.
- Choosing the right solar pump inverter
For ATO solar water pump, the DC controller (inverter) is matched. For other solar pump, the selection is based on the various parameters of the pump. Pump parameters include: AC or DC, single phase or three phase, boost, pump power, indoor use, outdoor use, or underground use and other parameters. After confirmation, select an appropriate solar pump inverter.
- Choosing the right solar panel
According to the power of the pump and the strength of the sun, choose the right solar panel. Usually, we choose the power of the panel, which is 1.5 times of the pump power. If want higher output voltage, increase the solar panels as appropriate.
